Glass wrapping

One of my favorite traditions is to come up with wonky wrapping for Ryan. He seems to enjoy the fun of it and over the years it has turned into it's own art form. He is currently making stained glass fish that he sells to fund his Washington DC trip. The glass became the inspiration for this wrapping. I hot glued the glass to the butcher paper wrapped box then used electrical tape to mimic the soldering. Electrical tape does not adhere to the glass as well as I would like but is the right width.

The best part is that there is no way into the box!
After a good chuckle I took pity on him and gave him a clue. I did not take the time to grind the edges of the glass, some are very sharp, the gift is not supposed come as a blood sport.

I can not show most of the things I have been up to...gifts.
This little bag was interesting to make. The coin purse zipper is 3 inches (4 counting the ends) and is fully lined.
According to the originator of the pattern it is her take on an Asian dumpling. You can find her here, she has awesome zippers on her bags.
