Thought Process

I set out to make a gift...bought all the right stuff but still it would not happen. What was I thinking at the store when I picked those fabrics? Today they do not seem to go together. I gave up on the gift...It is hard to get anywhere when that inner critic is around.
So I sat down and began to finger my prized fabrics, that sounds crazy but I know there are others who know exactly what I mean! The center fabric (below) is vintage kimono silk with gold and silver embroidery. It is one of my prized fabrics... as I was looking at it the thought hit me...
I wish I could make things that no matter what they look like on the outside the intention would show perfectly clear...LOVE.

I finally gave myself permission to play, make mistakes and just create anything with my prized fabric! As I did this a concept began to form. On the outside we may not look like much but on the inside we are all beautiful, elegant and a treasure.
Reminds me of the scripture: But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. II Corinthians 4:7
