Columbine finished

I think this is where I am going to stop on this silk. It has been a very stressful painting and I am very critical of it at this time.
I had an idea of where I wanted to go with this and a photo for inspiration. When it came to the background I started listening to ideas and tried to do what others thought I should try...Big mistake! The background was so ugly that I did not really believe I could salvage it. After I threw a proper tantrum I got my hubby to give me a hand and we were able to pull out some of the color and cover it with another that was much better. I really wish we had taken a photo before the save, My hubby was thinking it would be a great learning visual. There are times it pays not to give up even if the outcome is not what you had intended.
