Bad Yarn

While we were south one of the outings was to a craft store so that I could touch all the cool new products. I can spend hours getting to know all the things I only see pictures of (island living). Many of my friends are doing a bit of knitting so I thought I would whip up a little crochet for myself. I bought some amazingly soft yarn, drug it home with me and decided on a neck gator to keep out the cold.

By the time I had it knit it was fuzzy. I thought maybe they would come off in the wash...wrong. It pilled in the wash, Yes, it is machine washable. The little hairs fly all over and get in my eyes! It is the strangest yarn I have ever seen...it acts much like wool roving (You can pull it apart) but is 100% acrylic. (Lion brand Homespun)
I really enjoyed the process of making it...it even made football bearable!

  3. Somehow I missed this post. It's a bummer when yarn doesn't behave. I think the colors in this yarn are beautiful!
