That tittle could apply to my life, family or friends!
In this case it is the story of my surviving what I feared! I joked (but it was not a joke) that I was doing this with Kirk pushing and Jo Ellen dragging me into it. Jo Ellen stopped by a few days ago and looked at my scarves. I would have taken six and put them on her table. She found 25 and told me I needed my own table.
She even built this wonderful rack that put the scarves 6 feet above the table. It was very dramatic, I was across from where you entered the room. Then there was Jackie, everyone needs a fan to stand along side and encourage. I loved being surprised with white chocolate mocha! Thank you!
On to the report...Took 25 came home with 10!!!
What I learned:
The first scarves to sell were the ones I thought would never sell.
The colors that I was almost afraid to show... Sold!
The ones that had the most work and I am the most proud of.. came home with me!!!
There were many people who stopped to say my scarves are beautiful...but scarves are not for them. Hmmm...I will have to try out silk as wall art!
Wow!! This is awesome! I think it's so great that you sold 15!! (If I'm counting right?) I think it's so interesting how the ones you didn't think would sell...sold! It's funny when things work out that way. I can't WAIT to hang the beautiful scarf in my creating room once we get our new house. I love you!
ReplyDeleteOh, I knew it... congrats!!! And silk wall hangings would be perfect, I think, your painting talents are perfect for that medium. YAY, YOU!!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love my scarf!!! I didn't even let her get it hung up before it was in a bag with my name on it until I could get a break in the pie selling. I love your art...and you...no...that's backwards. I love you first and then your art!!!
